Biased but east end, you get SO much more for your money. I am currently in Shettleston, which is 10 mins by train to Queen Street, 15 mins to the west end. Bus to town is 20 mins. You’re right by Tollcross Park which is great for the dog. The people are friendly. Big Tesco and Aldi, lots of cafes and takeaways. Not far by bus from the Fort and Forge shopping parks/centres. The buses to town go right by the Barras too for live music.

My rent (private) for a 1 bed flat in a clean modern building is £475 pcm (with bills I pay about ~£600). You’ll get similar prices in Tollcross, Parkhead, Bridgeton too. You’ll pay 2/3x that in the west end or some areas of the south side for a property in worse condition (from my friends who stay there)
