This happened to me some years ago.

I was driving in the city centre for the first time, using a hire car. The car's Sat Nav sent me down Bath Street (behind Queens Street station) which had recently been converted to a bus lane.

I was fined and I considered appealing, but other experienced drivers told me I had no case. Even if the satnav was wrong, there were clear road signs that I missed or ignored.

So I paid the fine early to get the 50% 'discount' and learned my lesson.

Like someone else said...this is part of what you'll learn when you start driving on your own after passing your test.

Also, maybe avoid the city centre for a few weeks. Drive in the other areas of Glasgow and the countryside until you're more confident and used to quickly reading road signs. 👍🏾
