OP is a student so chances are they won't be working the 9-5 routine, but may have the odd 9am lecture. Paisley is a cracking shout. Far enough from Glasgow to be cheap, close enough to travel in cheap and quick, big enough that you don't have to go to the city to have a productive day/night.
