Capital punishment is mostly done by lethal injection which is already pretty quick.

There are people who have been convicted based on manufactured police evidence and false witness statements and executed and then later found to be innocent - that’s pretty solid evidence and yet it can be wrong.

There’s not a foolproof way to ensure that innocent people aren’t executed so it’s not worth it.
