Comment | I would never move anywhere and immediately buy, so it's worth renting first. Renting is exceptionally high at the moment in Glasgow.
West end is a nice area (expensive!) with good transport links. Finnieston also (the side towards kelvin Grove Park)
You might find that the rent/house costs in some of the nice desirable areas aren't any cheaper than England (e.g. West end)
The weather is terrible (honestly I moved to England after 20+ years in Glasgow, the temperature is about 3 to 4 degrees colder but the main thing is the west coast rain - pack a good jacket!)
The bad bits/cuntish people will have an "anti english" stigma about them. Most switched on people (which I like to think is a higher majority on reddit) don't care but there are a lot of morons on this topic around Glasgow. It is nowhere near the same in England. A lot of it stems from anti Union hate. |
