There's a couple of ways to reach the stadium from the city centre on matchday:

#Train from Central:

Get the train from Central Low Level (platform 16) going east bound to either Bridgeton or Dalmarnock. Trains come roughly every 9 minutes for both stops and it doesn't matter what train you get as all Eastbound trains on the low level have to go through both stations. If you get off at Bridgeton [you can walk along London Road to Celtic Park](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Bridgeton+Station,+Glasgow/Celtic+Park,+Glasgow+G40+3RE/@55.8489739,-4.2199619,16z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x488846b3b7d89abd:0x6538172b06039fd5!2m2!1d-4.2256264!2d55.8489591!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414f6436db0f:0xf1778c849701d24!2m2!1d-4.2055427!2d55.849696!3e2) and it'll take around 10-15 minutes.

If you get off at Dalmarnock, [walk up Clyde Gateway (A728) and you'll be at Celtic Park](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Dalmarnock,+Glasgow/Celtic+Park,+Glasgow+G40+3RE/@55.8459101,-4.2162287,16z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414aa4c7cb0f:0xcab7962ab5e406e5!2m2!1d-4.2176395!2d55.8421124!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414f6436db0f:0xf1778c849701d24!2m2!1d-4.2055427!2d55.849696!3e2) in around 10 minutes.

#Train from Queen Street:

Get the train from Queen Street Low Level (platform 9) going east bound to one Bellgrove, Duke Street or Carntyne. If you're getting off at Bellgrove it doesn't really matter what train you get as all the eastbound trains have to pass through there, however if you're looking to get off at Duke Street you'll need to get on the Springburn train.

If you get off at Bellgrove, [walk down to the corner of Bellgrove Street and Gallowgate, turn left and follow the Gallowgate until you get to Celtic Park](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Bellgrove+(BLG),+Glasgow/Celtic+Park,+Glasgow+G40+3RE/@55.852549,-4.2203687,16z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x488846ac8cf44941:0x9f6d8d22c0563367!2m2!1d-4.2240796!2d55.8566841!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414f6436db0f:0xf1778c849701d24!2m2!1d-4.2055427!2d55.849696!3e2). Google maps says its about a 25 minute walk but honestly, you can do it in 15 minutes.

If you get off at Duke Street, [come out the station and down Millerton Street until you get to the Gallowgate (look out for the Forge Retail Park) and turn left](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Duke+Street,+Duke+Street,+Glasgow/Celtic+Park,+Glasgow+G40+3RE/@55.8545454,-4.2139515,16.75z/data=!4m15!4m14!1m5!1m1!1s0x48884156b2e42943:0xb966224f76822204!2m2!1d-4.2125453!2d55.8585941!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414f6436db0f:0xf1778c849701d24!2m2!1d-4.2055427!2d55.849696!3e2!5i1).

Carntyne is probably the longest walk of the three so I wouldn't recommend it tbh, [but here it is on Google Maps anyway](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Carntyne,+Glasgow/Celtic+Park,+Glasgow+G40+3RE/@55.852099,-4.1960192,16z/data=!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888416569c2fb53:0xe26bc71b101b840c!2m2!1d-4.1790525!2d55.8548233!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414f6436db0f:0xf1778c849701d24!2m2!1d-4.2055427!2d55.849696!3e2)

#Getting the bus:

I don't travel by bus in Glasgow, so I'm not too familiar with them. According to the Celtic website you can get the following buses: No. 2, 61, 64, 255 and 240 from the city centre, however god knows where in the city is best to get them from.

#Walking:

There are two ways to walk from the city centre. [Either along Gallowgate or London Road](https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Maggie+May's,+Trongate,+Glasgow/Celtic+Park,+Glasgow+G40+3RE/@55.8527107,-4.2341836,15z/data=!4m15!4m14!1m5!1m1!1s0x488846a161c02303:0x580e75cf4cea8639!2m2!1d-4.2451499!2d55.8571291!1m5!1m1!1s0x4888414f6436db0f:0xf1778c849701d24!2m2!1d-4.2055427!2d55.849696!3e2!5i1).* When walking along London Road, you will end up walking through Bridgeton, which is classed as a majority Rangers supporting area and all the pubs in that area are frequented more by Rangers fans than they are by Celtic fans. So if walking I'd recommend walking along the Gallowgate. There is the Hielan Jessie, The Wee Mans Pub, The Drover which are all Celtic friendly pubs where you can stop in for a pint. Plus around the Barrowlands Concert Hall there are some fairly decent Hipstery bars like 226, The Gate, Van Winkle, St Lukes and Baad which will still be frequented by Celtic fans on match day.

The walk will take roughly 30 minutes from the city centre to Celtic Park.

*Please note I just used Maggie Mays as a quick point of reference in the city centre.

#Taxi/Uber:

If you don't feel confident doing any of the above then of course, Taxi's and Ubers are always a shout. Your hotel can usually call a cab that will arrive pretty quickly and if you have the Uber app then obviously they'll pick you up too.

For a 3 o'clock kick off, I'd anticipate being out of the stadium by no later than 5 o'clock. If you're walking back to the city it's going to take, at a minimum, half an hour to walk back to the city centre. If you're thinking of getting the train back, I'd recommend going to either Bellgrove or Bridgeton stations as the queue is absolutely massive at Dalmarnock after the game. I'd probably say to anticipate getting back to the city for around 5:45pm at the latest.

There is a bus stop across from the KFC and the Forge Retail Park that has city centre bound busses, however can get quite busy in the immediate aftermath of the game.

Trying to get a taxi post-match will be nigh on impossible and even then, you'll likely spend longer sitting in traffic than you would walking, getting the train or getting the bus.

Hope this information helps and if you have any other questions or are looking for recommendations on places to go for a pre-game beer or bite to eat just give me a shout and I'll be happy to help.
