Balgray Reservoir is good for a swim, avoid the tower. White loch is lovely, I think the outflow is in the top left but that's from memory so don't rely on that. There's a pull in the water as you get near it and you absolutely don't want pulled under as you won't resurface.

There's a reservoir at Coalburn a lot of people swim in but I've still not been as its quite a walk.

If you're new to wild swimming (or even if you're not), do your research, don't go alone and wear a wetsuit. If you haven't been swimming up to now, this isn't a good time to start.
