I have swum up at the dams a few times. Don't do it without doing your research. You need to know where the outflow (drain? I can't remember the word) is because if you go near it you're fucked.
Land owners don't want the responsibility of people going in their water so market it as completely unsafe. I can understand their approach but actually educating people on what is safe and what isn't would be more useful. |
