I also used to work in the sector. Part of the problem is terminology. Rough sleepers are not the same as homeless and Beggars aren’t necessarily homeless, but they have become the face of the homelessness crisis when in fact it’s the single parent who doesn’t have enough space for her kids that should be the face of the crisis.
