The port authorities were less interested in where the cars came from, and more interested in making sure they get the revenue (and their cut) from the import fees.
What the criminals/car dealers were allegedly doing is importing prestigious marque second hand cars and even trying to reduce the value of them by clocking UP the mileage so the tax and duty would be less. |
