Comment | I had someone's dog run up to my son (5) in Queens Park and took his football away for a big slabbery chew. I asked the owner to call her dog back, but she just sauntered over and said "she just loves getting balls".
I said "And she's covered it in her slabbers now. That's gross." The owner looked totally offended, threw up her hands and said "She's a dog!" in the kind of tone used when stating the obvious to a dullard.
My reply was "That doesn't mean that everyone else should have their property chewed and slabbered on". She didn't have anything to say to that.
What I should have said is that yes, she is a dog and YOU are the owner. So if you haven't trained her well enough not to accost children and take their ball, you should have your dog on a leash. |
