| Comment | My dog is always on leash because his recall is not good enough. He was a street dog in the past so he's more independent than dogs that are brought up as puppies. I just don't trust him coming back to me if he approaches someone like you who doesn't really want to interact with him, so I don't risk it.
Instead, we play catch in a 6 foot long leash in very quiet community garden where dogs are allowed, and if, for whatever reason, he starts to wander off to someone else, I can step on the leash and stop him. It really isn't that difficult to have common decency. |
