Well in that case I recommend Dumfries House Estate near Cumnock in East Ayrshire. It's never very busy, a nice walk in really pretty surroundings and a cafe if you need it.
Alternatively a walk around the lake in Linlithgow.
In Glasgow I always liked a wander around the Necropolis beside the Royal Infirmary - so many interesting headstones.
