I know I say this all the time, but really it astounds me that people are blind to the fact that Silverburn and Braehead are attractive primarily *because* they are traffic free pedestrianized shopping precincts.

In these out of town shopping centres, you don't have traffic flowing down the central concourse, of belching out fumes next to the food court.

That's the situation in Glasgow City Centre.

The pedestrianisation plan for the city centre is great because it will give over space for cars to space for people. Space to amble around at your leisure, to shop, to eat outside etc.
