| Comment | My great-uncle in Canada used to race pigeons. He had several champions. He’d drive them miles away, even hundreds of miles, and they get timed in how long it takes to get back home.
He told me that at one point he had one pigeon who would get restless if he wasn’t taken for a flight every day (he had to be taken, didn’t fly off by himself), but he seemed to teach the others this too. Ever since that he’s had to take most of them at least a few miles away every day for a short flight. Even gets a friend to take the more fussy ones for a trip if my uncle is away on holiday |
