Honestly, go see as many shows you can and get in touch with the directors & companies of the shows you love! As an actor with that much experience, try reaching out to agents (Brennan Artists, Keddie Scott, Hunwick Associates are good Scottish based agencies). It might also be worth setting up a Spotlight account as this is the best way of casting directors seeing you.

Stage Managers in Scotland are highly specialised and most professionals have studied at college level/ will have many years experience (so I wouldn’t recommend stage management as an alternative to acting).

In terms of seeing shows in Glasgow, go to places like the Citizens Theatre, the Tron, see work by the National Theatre of Scotland, go to Edinburgh and see shows at the Traverse and the Lyceum.
