I think you're going to find this answer if you ask about any part of town, tbh. Glasgow has some rough bits and the good bits still have some rough folk. My stepmum stayed for a while in the Wyndford, in the "worst" tower there, and she said although there were some weirdos, and the odd riot squad coming up, it was fine and most folk were friendly and helpful. I helped her move in there and the number of folk who stopped to offer to help was pretty heartening.

One of my friends actually lives in the high rises, single mother with a 5 year old, and she seems to think it's okay. There's a family above her who she hears shouting every so often, but where I stayed last year in a bedsit in dowanhill (well nice bit) we had that too, so you know.
