People have stored up their problems over the pandemic (I'm not being dismissive, I've done it too. Seen the GP about the stuff that might kill me and ignored the rest) so more people want appointments. Manageable things have now progressed further than they would have if they'd been seen as well.

GPs often work part time because it's seen as a female friendly specialty so fewer staff.

It isn't the GPs fault - blame the politicians and ask where the funding is.
