I think it seems to depend on the surgery. I moved during lockdown and was initially annoyed that I had to change surgery but my new docs have been great. It’s an online booking system and phone call app first but you will get seen if needed. They also diagnosed me straight away with diabetes and a bunch of other issues that my last place had put down to anxiety despite me telling them I felt really unwell for years.
It’s not perfect I had to wait a week to get a lump checked (which is a long wait for something like that) but they’re busy and short staffed so what can you do.
I used to live in the states and even just to see a GP there you’re talking a small fortune so I’m def not one to complain about the NHS 🙏 |
