Comment | I did, don't regret it. The hob boils water quicker than the kettle when it's on boost mode. Although the heat doesn't seem to spread out as well as gas, so on a 12 inch pan there's only maybe 9 inches that get hot, the bubbles are localised to the shape of the ring underneath the pan. If you've got the budget there are some that have the whole surface "smart" so it will pick up the size of the pan, if I knew this then (and wasn't paying for a whole kitchen with new appliances) I'd have splashed out and made sure I had at least two massive burners or a whole top one. Cooking on a round pan with a hot spot in the middle with cold sides can be a pain. |
