Everyone is absolutely entitled to their own opinion and I will be honest and say that I do genuinely welcome yours.

I take images that intrigue and interest me, not because I necessarily think they must always have some kind of outstanding artistic merit or tell a particular story. Sometimes I like the challenge of creating an image where one isn’t immediately obvious or just attempting to take the “same” image everyone else takes differently. Sometimes I like to push myself to try unusual techniques or methods just to see if I can do it.

Little Planets are pretty divisive. Generally I find that people don’t recognise many of the Little Planet images I take, but can feel that there’s maybe something strangely familiar about it. If other people like them then that’s good, but unless it’s a commercial commission, I take pictures for me - and sometimes I share them.

I don’t know what your style of photography is or how successful you may (or may not) be, nor have I seen any of your images that I’m aware of, so I obviously don’t know what I think about them. If you send me a link, then I’m happy to look and see what I can learn from them for myself, because I know that I’ll never stop learning from others. If I don’t like them, then that’s fine. What I do know is I would never just comment “pish” on any public forum and then get my knitting ripped because someone commented on your reply - not on your opinion.
