I often use Wetherspoon's. Buy a tea or coffee for £1.30 and get free refills all day. No qualms about staying long or spending as little as I can. Staff rarely give a fuck if you stay all day and not spend much.
Although if you want somewhere nice and to actually support the business then the glad cafe is a good shout.
