| Comment | I've posted this before by my Mrs sold her place last year in battlefield. We were looking at renting around there until we saw what happened to property prices post Brexit/Covid.
Flats in and around battlefield were insane. 20/30/40+ viewers, hugely expensive and most being snapped up in minutes.
We ended up renting a house in clarkston for about £50 more than a flat in battlefield, Shawlands etc. 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, double driveway, private garden for £850 a month. 10 minutes from battlefield, 15 to Shawlands, much less competition and a much nicer area. Loads of amenities nearby. Basically look further afield than the area you're looking at. Flats are in much more demand, houses less so and not much more expensive |
