Comment | Train travel isn't free but if you live in the old Strathclyde region it's discounted depending on distance, using your concession card (linked above, you can get one with a blue badge too).
The discount is off of full rate over 10 miles so it ends up cheaper most times to use a disabled person's rail card (can use in the morning unlike other railcards). You can buy one with your tesco points if you get PIP or meet other criteria.
ETA: bus travel is free throughout Scotland with a concession card although you still pay booking fees.
Kilmarnock is in Strathclyde but most places in Ayrshire aren't. |
