Your calculation is spot on really.

Just an advice from my experience (came to Glasgow from EU):

Don't underestimate the heating costs during the winter if you want to be reasonably warm! Insulation of most buildings is pretty shocking (even by my Eastern European standards), combined with single glazed windows means you need to keep radiators on constantly and if you are heating with electricity instead of gas, that becomes a problem.

Quite a lot of people here seem to just accept they will be freezing in the winter, so they don't run the radiators as much, hence the generally lower bills than you would expect in the winter.

When looking at the apartments try to find something with energy efficiency of C or above and you'll be fine.
