Years ago I got sent to a blue light call, housebreaking in progress. Stuck the lights and sirens on, got to the locus and dealt with it. Half an hour later I got a call on the radio from the Inspector asking me to head back to the office. Someone had called in to complain that I'd scared them by activating my siren near their car. Still bemused to this day that he didn't tell them to fuck off.
