It is unlikely that it would cause an issue. They have exploded in a plane before because the lower pressure causes the bubbles in the filling to expand. But they’ve been on plenty of planes without exploding. The reason the RAF have specified no tunnocks teacakes is because it could go over vital equipment. You just may end up having a messy bag if it doesn’t happen. More likely to happen if bag is put into hold rather than in the cabin with you
