I'm a bit older than your demographic (40s) but definitely if I was in my 20s or 30s I would be right up for this.

Then and now I mostly prefer solo trips, ideally with very early starts. I love anything with a bit of scrambling or exposure, but am fairly limited to places I can get to and from in a day. Also limited by quite basic navigational skills so I have to choose my hills carefully. But for multi-day trips, or trickier navigation, or winter walks, I would have been right up for joining a club if I'd found any that I liked the look of.
