They don't all need to grow to maturity in a year to be sustainable.
Imagine it takes 4 years to grow and you have 4 forrests containing 100 trees each.
If you sell 100 a year and rotate which one you cut down and replant then its entirely sustainable.
Now imagine that but it's 100m in each forrest. This is not to say theyre all sustainable but your premise is flawed. |
