| Comment | You'd be surprised how easy it is to get a criminal record. I know a few people with records. Some are deserved, some not so much. The fact that they can't go on holiday to certain countries, nevermind the limitations to their careers and such is quite a significant blow to them and far outweighs the harm of the offence.
I.E: I have one friend who was done with assault. He deserved that one, he was fined instead of a prison sentence. The friends who were with him though? They got charged too, as did the group that came to intervene.
The police weren't going to sort out the mess and play "whodunnit" and now everyone involved pays some form of price for it. |
