I didn't say countries don't have a right to ban people with criminal records. I was saying that judging people on the basis alone that they have a criminal history is short sighted. One of the best people I ever worked alongside was a convicted drug dealer who was caught with several million pounds worth. And he's treated equally alongside my friend who was merely present when someone in a group of lads he was hanging out with decided to get into a rammy at a bar. |
