Brace yourself for a whole new shower of shit.
They have bought some fully electric buses. Slower, smaller and lower battery capacity than the models bought by competitors. Soft speed limit of 44mph and if they ever let it drop below 20% charge, they are told to chuck everyone off and limp to the depot or else wait to be towed.
Given the amount of buses that have purchased, they can't actually put them all on charge at once. They're going to need another couple of supply lines, if not a whole new substation all to themselves.
This new fleet will have cost quite a bit so even if they were subsided, get ready for more price hikes.
I know I said it above but it bears repeating. 44mph… and some routes go along national speed limit roads or motorways.
