Comment | Reclaim the costs from your travel insurance. They should cover cancellations caused by COVID (do check your policy for any exclusions though).
I am genuinely surprised you can't recoup the costs via AirBnB (disclaimer: not a service I have used) as I assumed you have them notice as soon as the rules changed. Did you pay by credit card? You could try claiming back through them.
This is the risk of booking _anything_ during a global pandemic. My partner had to cancel seeing their parents, which was a stroke of luck given we both tested positive for COVID when they were due to fly out. |
