I had a nosey at citizens advice who suggest that if you have to cancel your holiday due to exceptional circumstances you’d be owed a refund. Exceptional circumstances include things like ash clouds and disease etc. I would hedge my bets that a pandemic qualifies as disease.
They have an online form if that’s easier for you with time differences etc and should be able to definitively tell you what your rights are in this case.
