| Comment | As far as I could find out, this generally isn't the case - unless stated otherwise, if you do coursework at any uni you generally own the copyright to that piece of work, with some limited exceptions (e.g they may need the rights to distribute it in a limited context - say, so you can upload a piece of work to an online page and they can send that to whoever's marking it - or potentially for a project sponsored by a company).
In any case, it's certainly pretty dodgy.
