So you’re idea of affordable is having to save an exorbitant amount for a deposit then potentially pay 10% - 20% above the HR value, all whilst dealing with increasing inflation and reduction of income in real terms? Sounds like the systems fucked to me, but as long as we keep propping it up, e.g. first home fund etc, and keep pretending everything else is fine then who’s to complain?

I’m not convinced there are plenty of people who can afford them, especially when a lot of these folk are probably mortgaged up to the eyeballs and would really struggle if we did have a crash.
