There is a lot of people who can afford this. 200k mortgage needs only 45k income. Thats two 22.5k jobs. It is not much. Cash for deposit is the problem mainly but that can be done with help of parents / sale of property / inheritance / even investments. There is plenty of people who have this kind of money. Of course if we magically got 20000 properties added to the market over night then the prices would fall but thats not possible.
