Assuming you're from one of the countries where currency value is different and 55000 a year seems way less.
If you order at delivero three times a day for two people and assuming you're eating lavishly that's 100 a day. So 3000 is what you'll be spending on food a month.
Rent ranges between 600-700 in West end, should be similar or cheaper near city center, but let's say you get a cool place and have heating on all day long so that's another 1000 gone each month.
Not sure if you'll drive, but if you're living in city center, you can easily get public transport or bike or walk nearly everywhere so I wouldn't say more than 100 for that a month (bulk buy tickets) unless you're ubering everywhere.
So that's your food, living and travel sorted. For everything else you'll find that things range from the affordable to luxury and you decide what you want. The thing you need to consider before moving here specially if you're from a non UK background is, the taxes. I've no idea what the taxes would be on an income like yours but I think its 12000 that's tax free and for anything above you gotta pay tax, and its increased as per earnings so I am assuming at least 10 k of that 55k would be gone in taxes. Not that the leftover is not good salary. You'd still be earing more than double an average person makes.
