The main thing you need to know about Glasgow 'lingo' is that no character under the age of 45 will use any 'weird' words on a regular basis. Media has erased most of the use of local dialects. The only different between a person in Inverness and Illinois will be accent for the most part.
If you were to use more than one or two regional words in any conversation it will sound *horribly* stereotypical - like having ALL Americans talk like 18th century cowboys, or all english people like the royal family. Umm, wait a minute....
If you actually want to know how the middle 80% of the demographic speak, you could just read the posts in this sub.
