| Comment | This doesn't help you right now, but when the deposit scheme comes in for plastic bottles, there will be an immediate effect (people won't want to lose the deposit by littering, and even if they do, someone who sees a bottle lying will happily grab it for the cash). While people are appreciating the decrease in litter, there may be enough good will to gradually phase out (then ban) all non-deposit packaging, not just bottles. *Then* would be the time to start writing to your MSP.
Right now, certainly contact the school, and your local councilors (councilors, *not* the council). |
