I have a hatred for soft serve ice cream, and pretty much every ice cream van is soft serve these days. So I don't buy from them.

Honestly it's a bloody travesty, whenever I hear the Monty Python theme on a hungover indoors Sunday and I think to myself "aye a wafer with raspberry, happy days!" but then I remember, they're no selling ice cream... they're selling that nonsense pretending to be ice cream.

I know it's a bit of an urban myth that Thatcher created soft serve, but only someone as vile as her could create such a monstrosity.

I think you only see them in the dead of winter because they know folk will be home and they're not getting the foot traffic at beaches and parks this time of year.

total aside, but does anyone remember the guy who ran the icecream van outside the old transport museum in the late 90s/ early 2000s?

He had a vintage mini in lovely condition and made some damn nice ferrero rocher ice cream.
