| Comment | I'd close Buchanan Bus Station and replace it with at least two better placed bus stations - one near Anderston train station and another near High Street. In tandem I'd open up Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street for buses and taxis, and bikes. I'd pedestrianise some of the streets between Ingram Street and Argyle Street, and also Sauchiehall Street and Bath Street.
I think it would be good for Glasgow to have a central library that's in the city centre, maybe taking over the BHS building and neighbouring properties. The Watt Bros. store I'd run as a arts and crafts centre, filling it with studios and shops. I think that Debenhams could become a conference / exhibition centre with spaces for gigs, films and art events too with more cafes and bars. |
