Istanbul is a bit of a reach! I remember going on it a few years back and them making the claim that it was the second oldest... while it's true, it only has two stations and the carriage, still pulled by a rope, only travels 0.5km! Funicular shouldn't be in the same category imho... So Glasgow is still third!
