| Comment | Has a similar issue when my Dad was dying, we knew he wasn't going to last the night and his girlfriend accessed his account as she left the hospital. We had his account frozen the next day and she tried to access it again and was stopped. She was made to pay back what she had taken, including money from my Dads pension. If your Mum's partner has used money from the gvmt that was supposed to be used for the funeral then that is fraud. Make sure that the funeral director knows that the partner is liable for bills and they should be forwarded to them. I'm really sorry for your loss and hope you get things sorted. |
