Try the Google mesh kit, I had Virgin at my old bit and plugged the main AP into their router and added to it subsequently and it was perfect.
Extended all the way around a 4 bed, with no drop offs on WiFi speed. Little bit pricey but the UI is great and loads of features that sit over and above the Virgin stuff.
