Comment | Its a hybrid tracker. If the bus is in service and it can detect the GPS signal it will track the bus.
If it doesn’t pick a GPS signal up then it will countdown the time the bus should be there.
Reasons it doesn’t pick up the GPS could be; hardware/software fault, breakdown (and the ticket machine gets shut off), driver input error, service cancelled due to staff shortage.
The system is not smart enough to detect the reason for being unable to detect the GPS of the bus so defaults to a scheduled countdown. |
