I’m from Shawlands originally but purchased a 2 bedroom terraced house with a front and back garden in Paisley in 2012 for 96k on a 20k wage over 35 years. I’m currently on 25k and have 75k left to pay with a monthly payment of £306. I actually just put 7k into my mortgage a couple of hours ago (just under 10% of the remaining to avoid repayment charges) to bring the interest rate down further.
As far as the market goes, that’s standard rate for Shawlands. It’s been popular for years and the surrounding areas have a noticeable jump in rent too. I’ve seen about a million worse rip-offs than that place. |
