I wouldn't get any photo gear unless you REALLY know what is wanted...
Books are a good idea; Ansell Adams, Edward Weston, Nan Goldin, Cartier Bresson, Sebastião Salgado, Lee Miller etc. (A tiny amount of good 'uns)

As for lager, I'd rather be drinking it than watching it being made, especially as lager made in Scotland is frankly shite. The best lagers are from Germany/Czech Republic/Belgium so may I suggest a case of something from those places? |
