We have a mid 20th century flat with wooden creaky joists and we hear the upstairs neighbours kids footfall pretty constantly. Our downstairs neighbours undoubtedly get the same from us. After a few months of it we got used to the sound but its still glorious when they go away for a bit. Its just par for the course for most flats unfortunately
