I see your point but when I lived alone for a while, Christmas day alone in my flat with a takeaway and entertainment I want (movies, xbox, streaming etc.) Was some of the best Christmases I've had. It just depends if OP is naturally introverted or not I suppose but it can go either way depending on personal preference.
